Meh... the thing about Canadian tire is they have some pretty awesome sales that are hard to pass up. My issue is that most of the staff arent really knowledgeable about the products. Another MAJOR gripe of mine is the carts that are fashioned to look like cars for the kids are not allowed out of the store. The reason why a person gets a cart, is because they plan on buying more product than they can carry. When I am shopping with my kids, they are always wanting the fancy shopping carts... but if I am buying anything that is heavy or bulky I have to get a regular cart because they will not allow you to take the fancy cart out of the store! A cashier was very unrelenting to me regarding this issue even after I promised to return the cart to the store. A production ensued with me having to move my purchases and child into a standard cart. It actually makes me mad just remembering it. As if a moms job isnt difficult enough. If you are a business with fancy car-shaped carts, you have to allow customers to move their purchases from the store to their car in the fancy cart, otherwise dont have fancy carts at all.

I love the huge amount of product the store offers and the prices are actually very good when they have a sale one... which is weekly. However... customer service can be pretty suspect at times. It seems like some staff dont really want to be there. Update -Recently I have found that the guy that works in the hand tool department to be quite accommodating in helping me find what I was looking for. Automotive seems to be hit and miss.

I have been to Canadian Tires across Canada (solo adventure!) and I found all the staff I encountered very helpful and friendly. I also had my car serviced and I was very happy with it!

I've not been the biggest fan of Canadian Tire over the years. This is a new store. Well equipped and staffed. I've been to this store more often in the last few weeks, than any other location in the last several years. Renewed my opinion of CDN Tire.

Truth be told, I'm not a Canadian Tire fan at all. Most of them need MAJOR coaching in customer service, and many of their staff are downright rude. But THIS one is good. Classic small town experience. Friendly people and the usual huge variety of very fairly priced stuff. I say do it!
